Engineers Definition of Insanity: Setting n = ∞.

The definition of insanity has often been referred to as: Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results."  In thinking about it in general engineering terms, it can be easily defined as a process flow chart, as shown.

In this case, insanity is setting n = ∞, or some other sufficiently large number.  So, if you seem to be stuck in an infinite loop, it may be time to set "n" to a lower value and try something new or different; even it it means moving outside of your comfort zone.
